Membership Terms

Price, renewal, cancelling and refunds for paid membership.

These terms apply to Kelpie Diesel membership, supplied by Diesel Tech Australia (ABN [ABN]). Our Terms of Sale still apply to every order you place.

Membership is a subscription. It costs $240 a year (incl. GST), paid upfront when you join. That works out to $20 a month, but we do not charge monthly. It renews automatically every 12 months, and we charge $240 (or the renewal price in your reminder) on each renewal date until you cancel. No notice is needed to cancel. You can cancel online from your account at any time.

Who can join

  • You must be 18 or over and have an Australian delivery address.
  • One membership per person. It is personal and you cannot transfer it.

Price and payment

  • The fee is $240 incl. GST for each 12-month membership year, charged in full in advance to the card you give us.
  • We email you a tax invoice for every charge.
  • If a renewal payment fails, we will email you. Your membership pauses until it is paid or you cancel. We do not charge late fees.

What members get

  • Member prices on selected products. We choose which products have a member price. Member prices are shown on the product page when you are signed in as a member.

  • Member prices cannot be combined with trade prices or other discounts on the same item, unless we say so.
  • How much you save depends on what you buy and how often. We do not promise that your savings will equal or exceed the membership fee.

Member prices can change

We may add, change or remove the member price on any product at any time. The price shown when you place an order is the price you pay for that order. If we make a change that substantially reduces the overall value of membership during your membership year, we will email you, and you can cancel and get a refund for the unused months (see "Refunds" below).

Automatic renewal and reminders

  • Your membership renews automatically at the end of each membership year for another 12 months.
  • We email you a reminder at least 30 days (and no more than 60 days) before each renewal date. It shows the renewal date, the amount we will charge, and how to cancel.
  • If the price is going up, the reminder tells you the new price. A new price only applies from your next renewal date, never part-way through a year you have paid for.

Cancelling

  • You can cancel at any time, online from your account (Account › Membership › Cancel) or by emailing [EMAIL]. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your membership and member prices continue until the end of the year you have paid for, unless you ask for a refund under the next section.

Refunds

  • 14-day refund. If you cancel within 14 days after you first join, or within 14 days after a renewal charge, we refund the fee for that year, less the total member savings you received on orders in that period. [DECISION: keep this 14-day window, or change it.]
  • If we end your membership or the program, or substantially reduce its value (see above), we refund $20 for each full unused month.
  • Outside these cases, cancelling stops the next renewal but does not give a refund for the rest of the paid year.
  • Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Your consumer rights

Membership is a service that comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If we fail to provide it with due care and skill, or as described, you may be entitled to a remedy. For a major failure, you can cancel and get a refund for the unused part of your membership. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those rights.

If we end your membership

We may end your membership if you commit fraud, or buy member-priced products for resale in breach of these terms. We will tell you why by email and refund $20 for each full unused month. We may end the whole program by giving members at least 30 days' notice by email, with the same refund.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms by giving members at least 30 days' notice by email and on this page. If a change is to your detriment, you can cancel before it starts and get a refund for the unused months. Price changes only apply from your next renewal date, as set out above.

Emails

Renewal reminders, receipts and account emails are not marketing and you will get them while you are a member. Joining does not mean you agree to marketing. We only send marketing if you tick the box to agree, and you can unsubscribe at any time. See our Privacy Policy.
