Some parts we sell change how a vehicle performs. Whether a part is legal on your vehicle depends on your vehicle and the state or territory where it is registered. You are responsible for checking this before you fit the part.
Road rules and roadworthiness
- Vehicles used on public roads must stay roadworthy and comply with the Australian Design Rules (ADRs) and your state or territory's vehicle standards.
- Some modifications, such as changes to engine power, suspension height or GVM, may need engineering certification or approval from your state's transport authority. In Western Australia this is the Department of Transport.
Emissions
Removing, disabling or changing a vehicle's emission controls (for example the DPF, EGR or AdBlue/SCR system) on a vehicle used on public roads can breach state and territory road and environmental laws. We do not supply parts for that purpose for road use.
Off-road and competition-only parts
Items marked "off-road use only" or "competition use only" are not for vehicles used on public roads. By buying them, you confirm you will not fit them to a vehicle used on public roads.
Insurance
Tell your insurer about any modifications. Undisclosed modifications can lead to a claim being refused.
New vehicle warranty
Fitting aftermarket parts does not automatically void your vehicle manufacturer's warranty. However, the manufacturer may refuse a claim for damage caused by an aftermarket part or the way it was fitted.
Our responsibility
We do not give legal or engineering advice about your specific vehicle. If a part we supplied was not as described, or not fit for a purpose you told us about, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply.
